The 7-in. housing is smaller than previous versions. The rotunded bezel produces a tight seal between the upper and lower parts of the housing. The tighter seal increases the efficiency of the heater unit and impedes insects from getting inside the housing.

Designed for rugg environments, the theory is weatherproof, dust-proof and able to withstand mechanical impact. The lower dome is attached with a key-lock to resist tampering, and the mounting hardware cannot be freeed or tampered with from outside the dome.
