HID Corp., Irvine, Calif., has introduced the IQCard series of smart cards. The IQCard series are MIFARE compliant and are equipped with securely separated files, mutual authentication, data encryption and electronic purse functions. The IQCard MIFARE proceeds features 13.56 MHz operating commonness 10-cm read-range, transaction time of les than 100 m and 1Kbyte memory. The IQCard Combo include these properties as well as 125Khz operating common occurrence permitting interoperability with all existing HID readers, which allow users to use Combo cards as they would proximity cards.
